A MUST try cheesy meatball at LRT Gombak!
KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 16 — 2019 surely starts well at LRT Gombak Kelana Jaya Line. You can look forward to a vast array of food trucks across the station, as soon as you get down.
With the colourful trucks, catchy tag lines and the wide array of food and beverages, we are certain that you will have a hard time in choosing what to buy. But fret not, instead of choosing one, why not buy all?! We will make your life a tad easier by giving you a virtual tour on what is cooking (that you will regret if you miss it!) at LRT Gombak, 4PM-12AM on Monday-Friday. Let’ssssss!

Disclaimer: This entry will make your tummy upset if you have not had anything for breakfast or lunch. So, don’t blame us.

    1) Mangga Padu

Okay guys, this is among our favourites at LRT Gombak. And the word ‘padu’ is understatement to describe the drink. However, we don’t want to fight the hashtag #sepaducintaabang. LOL. We still can’t get over the taste of the drink. The milky taste of the mangga and the mangga cubes, ahhhhhh! It is the perfect treat after a long train ride. Do we tell you yet that the price is only RM6? Brownie point for that!
    Mango shake PADU!
    2) Azhar Station Kaw-Kaw

What is so kaw about this truck? Well, if you are so passionate about Ayam Goreng Kunyit, you MUST try this. Apparently, their business has been around since 2010. The taste of the spiciness in the chili sauce and sweetness in the ketchup is a perfect combo. If spicy is your middle name, you will love this dish. It is paired with rice and definitely a go-to food to eat and it’s relatively cheap! Sotong Goreng Kunyit is our personal favourite because the squid was perfectly cooked with a nice crunchy exterior while retaining a soft and juicy center.
Nasi Ayam Goreng Kunyit is our personal favourite dish!
    3) Melawati Kebab

Kebab lovers, where are you?! The beef kebab is to die for. It’s not too spicy and the sweetness of the meat is so rich. Other than kebab, their specialty is also meatballs with brown sauce. The sauce presents as thicker and meatier and really rounds out the dish. Daniel Holzman in his book ‘The Meatball Shop Cookbook’ wrote, “Meatballs are the ultimate cure-all for anything that ails you”. Spot on, Mr. Holzman! The taste of the meatballs is still lingering in our heads because one is never enough. If Ikea is too far away, we have LRT Gombak for you! And hello, it doesn’t cost you a lot to get the meatballs because it’s only RM6. The meatballs come with fries too (who doesn’t love fries?).
    For meatball lover!
