In the incident that occurred at 12.15 am this morning, an empty 2-car train traveling from Imbi Station towards Hang Tuah Station was damaged due to an unauthorized movement of a bore pile crane of the Bukit Bintang City Centre (BBCC) project. The crane hit the train that was on its way back to KL Sentral Station.

The affected train was brought back to the depot through a train-coupling process, and it reached the depot in Brickfields at 3.03 am. Train driver Mohd Zafar Hamid, 52, was unhurt.
