TRAFFIC DIVERSION ON FEDERAL HIGHWAY 2
KUALA LUMPUR, Friday, July 13, 2012 – A traffic diversion scheme for both directions will be carried out at a section of the Federal Highway Route 2, namely between KM18.7 and KM19.6, to facilitate the construction works (P112) of the Kelana Jaya LRT Line Extension Project.
The construction works, to take place at the highway median, will be affecting the overtaking lanes on both directions of the highway (Kuala Lumpur-bound and Klang/Shah Alam-bound) hence the need for the traffic diversion exercise that will start this Sunday (July 15th) to March 31, 2013.
Part of the dedicated Klang-bound motorcycle lane at the affected area will be temporary closed during the duration. The affected motorcyclists however will be diverted into a specially-reserved lane of the Federal Highway prior to merging back into the unaffected Klang/Shah Alam-bound motorcycle lane.
